Cleveland Recap

After an epic time in Detroit, we packed up (I must say we have gotten pretty efficient at packing our small rental) and headed to Cleveland, home of the Lebronless Cavaliers ......to soon? We had a comfortable 3 hour drive and arrived at our hotel around 2. Our hotel, as all of them have been, was really nice with a great view of the city.

We loaded our luggage up on one of the carts and as we rolled up to the elevator one was open with one teenage girl and a cart on it but because of the cart we couldn't fit (don't worry this story is going somewhere stay with me). As the door to the elevator shut, Nathan pushed the button before it had time to take off so an elevator with one teenage girl re-opened which was awkward in itself, but of course Nathan was able to make it more awkward like only Nate-Daddy can. He then awkwardly and indecisively half way entered the elevator and then backed out made an awkward hand gesture (kinda like a mixture of a wave to go and a never mind I changed my mind about getting on this elevator motion) and said and I quote "I will just wait for the next one". The uncomfortable air and what we perceived to be one very annoyed teenage elevator passenger was enough to make me walk away dying laughing.

We were finally able to compose ourselves and make it to our room. We dropped off our luggage and headed to the stadium. On the way we stopped off at a local favorite called the Winking Lizard for some beers and food. We got some great pickle chips and fried macaroni which were some of the best things I have ever tasted. We finished up our beers and headed to the game.

We wanted to take our picture outside the stadium, and a normal person would ask an adult woman as they take the best pictures....on this day and time Collin lost his normalcy as he decided he would ask this little boy who Collin saw taking a picture with his parents camera which to Collin qualified this 9 year old (and maybe not even that old) to take a picture of three grown men. Then to make it more weird he said to his parents and I again quote "dont worry he is just going to take a picture of us" like that was supposed to make his parents feel safer about their not even double digit year old son taking a picture of us. Nathan and I looked at him with this look of did you really just say that and ask a little boy to take our picture. We said to Collin "What tha hell are you doing man? He's a kid." The picture the boy took was terrible so we had to ask someone else and since Collin's asking privileges were revoked for obvious reasons. Nate asked some one and we finally got our pic.

The actual stadium itself was not our favorite but our seats were great. We were third row in centerfield. The only bad thing was these annoying two guys that were constantly heckling the Angels center fielder Mike Trout. Now hecklers can be very funny like our bro Phil we met in St. Louis, but these guys were not funny....they just kept saying "Hey Trout....you stank". Everyone was tired of them. I think God was also fed up by the 7th because mother nature rolled in and started raining on us. Nathan was clutch and brought ponchos so while everyone else either took cover or left we stuck it out in our seats, staying quite comfortably dry. The game went into a delay for about 30 min. We ended up making it to the 9th before another delay and we decided to call it a night. The Indians ended up winning the game which had some great offense.

We headed back to our hotel to write some blogs and just hangout. We decided to walk to this bar and get some pizza which turned out to be great idea cause the pizza was really good. We finished the night by watching Major League in honor of being in Cleveland. We had a blast in the surprisingly beautiful city and we are excited for July 4th in Pittsburgh.

The whole thing was a bar/restaurant

A little Cleveland skyline

This place was SO GOOD. And had a badass name.

Our first view of Progressive Field

As we got closer...

Home of the Indians

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is somewhere in Ohio so this makes sense

All had to get one with the tight guitar

All together now. Some a little more frat-tastic than others I might add

A really cool looking entrance to a cemetery

This was about the time where Collin asked the little kid to take a picture of us. I'm pissed I deleted it

Really cool view in front of the stadium

Wasn't our favorite stadium but we had great seats

More humongous scoreboards

Really tight looking suites

Potentially the best/worst haircut I have ever seen depending on the circumstance as to how you're looking at it

TROUT!! YOU STANK! But no, he was awesome and will win Rookie of the Year

Rain clouds beginning to form for the first time on our trip

Josh got stuck with the crappy poncho.

Needless to say he struggled with it. A lot.

Some dark rain clouds

The wind thingy at the top of the stadium was going nuts

Collin got the blue poncho

I got the yellow one. We stuck it out through the rain and just sat there while everyone else ran off

View of Cleveland from the highway

Good looking church view from our hotel room

Fried macaroni and cheese wedges. Amazing

J-May was a happy man

America!

Nate Daddy taking an awesome picture of a father and son. He's quite the imaginative photographer (yes Nate Daddy wrote this)

Rain Delay

We stuck it out. It was absolutely pouring for a good 20-30 minutes
